Buying a used cross trainer, is the price too high?

Hi

I have seen a 9yo cross trainer (made by Kettler) advertised. It cost 1100 swiss francs originally and is advertised for 500 ono.

I have offered 350 as I think that it a bit much considering the age of the machine. What do you think.

I'm not sure I would want to buy a 9 year old used anything. Equipment has changed since then, has it not?

True. But I can't afford to spend 1000s on a new machine.

I would rather buy a older used machine than a cheap new one. Kettler is a good make.

Anyone else have an opinion?

500 sounds too much. 350 seems fair to you both.

Umm we have a cross trainer that we have been thinking about selling for about £250. Not sure on model as DP isn't here. It's less than 9 years old though I think and it's one of those ones that give you calories burned etc. Sorry don't know much as DP bought it and my big gum proves I didn't use it! I know it was expensive though.

Is it worth me finding out the model for you Mmelindt? I personally wouldn't want to pay that kind of money for something that old. Where are you buying it from? What happens if it doesn't work as expected etc can you return or get money back easily?
