Sports bra for big boobs

I’ve scoured the internet, bought and returned a few and now I’m looking for recommendations.
I’m 32F bra, bottom heavy boobs (dropped and not as full as they once were) and I need an encapsulated sports bra that won’t squeeze my back too hard.
I currently run in a normal sports bra, which just smushes my boobs into a monoboob, causes overspill at the back and it’s not comfortable when I run or exercise anymore.
I’ve only recently had myself measured, and was wearing a 36D for years. Wearing the correct size bra is life changing, I want the same for my running bra now.

I’m also looking for decent high waisted running shorts, at least 5 inches if anyone has any recommendations too? Cycling shorts ride up on me so maybe not those Thank you!

Try patagonia shadowlite - I have some sideboob showing, but somehow still holds me together

Bravissimo! I’m a similar size and went and got measured and fitted for a sports bra in store - the panache is the best fit I’ve ever had.

I’ve tried panache, and granted it was the wrong size but it felt like the cups went too high for my bottom heavy breasts. Which one do you recommend?

I’ll check out Patagonia thank you!

I wear the panache ultimate underwired sports bra

Freya underwires sports bras are my go to. Less monoboob than non wired.

I'm 30ff and have tried and failed with so many!
I now have the shock absorber D+ max sports bra and it's brilliant. Ended up buying a few.
You need to read the info on sizing though. I needed a 32.

Can I ask whether people have found a breathable sports bra?

I have been happy with an M&S good move bra (I’m quite flat chested) but after a long run this morning it was sopping wet with sweat. I wear a hydration vest so have to be mindful about chafing.

I think getting it fit in store made the difference as it’s a different size to what I wear for day to day! Think this is the one I love

Have you tried ShockAbsorber. I’m 34GG and a regular runner. They do the job. Make sure the band is tight enough.

EmptyInTheValley · 26/06/2026 16:16

I am top heavy and really rate Freya. Their sports bras are fab.

willsandnoodle · 26/06/2026 16:31

Some great suggestions here, thank you. Off to google

Bravissimo

PangaBanga · 26/06/2026 16:42

Go to Bravissimo and get fitted. I find Im quite often a different size in sports bras, theyre often smaller.

Cluckycluck · 26/06/2026 16:42

Maaree! Expensive but they are the absolute holy grail of sports bras for a fuller bust. True to size. They wash and wear brilliantly.

Came to suggest this!
They have an adjustable strap that goes over the top of your boobs to stop them bouncing. Game changing tbh.

Before I discovered these, shock absorber was my go-to, that was the first bra I’d ever worn that meant I could trot my horse out on a hack and NOT be in pain after!

I wear a shock absorber under an underwired Freya and nothing moves, I'm a 32 FF.
