Cellulite city after weight loss

I’ve lost about half a stone since Christmas but unfortunately although I look better in my jeans, my cellulite on my legs seems to have gone crazy.

Can anyone recommend some exercise to help with my thighs and bum? I’m guessing weights? I used to run a lot but I’m out of the habit.

Willing to try anything, would appreciate some specific recommendations 🙏

This is my specialist subject!! I have awful cellulite whatever size I am. It’s some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Pilates at least twice a week is the only thing that improves it - and it improves it MASSIVELY and quite quickly. As soon as I stop they look horrible again.

I think it’s because Pilates works the muscles at a deep level, there’s a lot of toning and stretching, so your legs get smoothed out. If you can’t make a class there’s loads of excellent on-line workouts. It honestly works really well. I’m a bit hit and miss with body brushing (which boosts circulation) but usually remember to blast my legs with cold water after my shower, again, this boosts circulation.

If you can afford it some lymphatic drainage massages are a real bonus too, to get your lymph system activated and your circulation going.

As a topical treatment, Murad Retinal ReSculpt Body treatment cream is AMAZING but quite expensive. Again, I’ve seen a massive improvement.

Sorry - I rambled on! Pilates will work wonders.

It might be the fat structure, as in a lot of people seem to look "worse" as in skin less smooth when they lose weight? Like a lot of people look younger, with a fuller face when they weigh more? But if they feel happier and healthier, then I guess it doesn't really matter,

Pilates sounds promising! Do you have any particular recommendations for online workouts?

Thanks so much for the replies. Yes I would also love some particular recommendations for online Pilates workouts LinedOverLatte

Yes I do think the extra fat was padding me out somewhat - it’s annoying as I thought it was bad before, but now it’s terrible! I don’t normally mind too much but I have a holiday coming up soon and I’m dreading getting it all out 😬

Nicole is a really good one. There’s also loads of other videos on YouTube - I usually pick one I like the look of!

It makes a difference. If you’ve got time/money etc to attend a local class it’s a great way to learn the breathing and moves which you can then continue to do at home. Also google Joseph Pilates, the man who developed the exercises. There are a finite number of specific exercises (instructors put them into a varied workout session, but they’re all the same moves as originally intended and easy to do at home with little to no equipment).
