Entry level fitness watch recommendations

Trying to get fitter this year and would like a fitness tracker. I’ve joined a gym and also do yoga classes. May start running outdoors too.

willing to spend up to £150 - I need to see if I keep up wearing it to justify any more. Ideally I could track the usual steps, heart rate etc - calorie counting option, menstrual data would also be good.

I highly recommend Garmin. I have the Garmin Forerunner 245 and absolutely love it. Use it for running, walking and swimming. Just had a look on Amazon and found this. Reconditioned but has excellent reviews.

The app, Garmin Connect, is excellent and with the Garmin Connect IQ app you can choose and customise your own watch face (from a choice of many).

You would never look back!

Also recommend Garmin. The forerunner 55 is in your budget and will do more than enough for what you need, with room for more should you pursue fitness long term.

I was bought a Garmin Vivoactive watch, and it's fantastic. I hadn't used one before and I'm not very techie, but I set it all up with no problems whatsoever. It looks cool too!

I wanted a simple Garmin fitness watch. I got the Forerunner 55 because it’s entry level/simple but still does everything I want and more.

I have a Garmin Venu which is about 5 years old now but still brilliant and I have no reason to update it. Battery life is excellent, app is great, really good all rounder. I have mine synced to a bluetooth cadense sensor on a spin bike too. Plus if you do any outdoor running at all you can't beat a Garmin for accuracy and functionality.

I've got a forerunner 55 and like it. I've had it for 3 years and would replace it if it died. I especially like it for HR monitoring during spin etc. I bought it to run but haven't really run much. It isn't great at lap counting in the pool though. Often loses a length.

Garmin often have discounts on blue light card etc so shop around.

I have a garmin forerunner 265s which would be I’ve your budget but I love it. The forerunner 55 would be well within your budget though and I’ve heard good things about it. Garmin do amazing blue light discounts so if you have a card or know someone who does then I’d recommend doing that. I think you can get the 55 for around £100.

I was going to recommend the 55 as well. I bought it for my DH a couple of years ago and it's great for an entry level runner. I have the 245 but it's a bit older now.

Thanks everyone, I managed to get the 55 for just over £100 and seems great so far 😊
