Rebounder benefits

I use to be ever so fit, i enjoyed swimming, cycling and walking but love nothing more than getting home at night and not going out again. I have gained weight, already made a start on a healthy diet and now keen to improve my core strength, because at the minute my core doesnt feel as though it exists.

I've bought a rebounder and hope to do maybe 15 minutes a day to begin with. Has anyone used this? I'm interested to hear lots of positive stories please. Thank you

i've used one of these for three decades (the same one: very sturdily made 👌), also around 15 minutes, & has helped to keep me pretty fit. really good if one doesn't get any physical exercise outside the home on a particular day - gives the heart a 'workout'. i try to use it daily regardless of external activities.

this may be old news to you but one needs to run with the feet flat on the rebounder, otherwise much of the beneficial effect is lost and it becomes halfway between a rebounder and a small trampoline. my understanding is that beside the more obvious health benefits, running on the rebounder in this way aids the lymphatic system. a tip is to wear heavy (flat) shoes when running in order to make the workout more strenuous, and to bend the knees as high as possible when running for the same reason.

the device is the regular butt of humour from new visitors until I point out the England football team use (or formerly used?) them as part of their exercise regime.

good luck with it!
