Hi guys,

Just wondering if this is normal.
My PT is leaving the gym in 2 weeks time and is expecting me to pay her for the rest of the month, I only have one session left with her and she wanted me to pay for the weeks i'm not having sessions which doesn't make any sense to me, is this how it works?

Thank you

Do you mean they want you to pay until the end of December, or the end of the next month of your contract?

Eh? Your PT is bonkers

So basically I have one session left with her which is all paid for.
She's now telling me I have to make another payment on Friday to cover the last 2 weeks of the month but the thing is she is leaving and I will not be having any sessions with her for the las 2 weeks.
She said that it is and it's all in the t&cs but i've read through t&cs and it doesn't say anything about it there.

Just wondering if this is how it worked and if anyone else had experienced this with their PT.

So I have last session with her this weekend and that's it, she's leaving, I won't see her again but she still wants payment for the next 2 weeks.

She can jog on then!! I'd ask her specifically where in the Ts and Cs it covers this scenario. Make her do the leg work.

🤭

Exactly. Just say you have read the T&C’s and say it is NOT in there. It won’t be, because it’s mad. She is the one terminating the arrangement between you, not you. And even if she had written some completely mad clause which said she could decide to stop offering sessions and still compel her clients to pay for them, it would be completely unenforceable because the law protects people from unfair contracts. What a loon

This seems odd. The only thing I can think of is if you pay a monthly amount on a rolling basis which averages out the cost of the sessions over a year and so you effectively “owe” by not making the final payment. So a bit like when you leave employment and they work out whether you’ve used the exact proportion of your annual leave or need to be paid out for any remaining leave.

Thanks for responding guys.

Yeh I thought the same, it's ridiculous.

I will let her know she's not getting another penny out of me now.

Thanks guys
