Can someone make sense of my composition results?

I used to train heavy around 6 years ago before having my first baby. Then took a 4 year break (having my second in between last year) . I joined back at the gym in March and been going 2-3 times a week. Other than that I run around after my kids non stop.

I did my body composition and have a few questions if anyone knowledgeable in fitness can answer ?

  1. Why is my metabolic age 14? I am nearly 30! (ignore year on my name it was the only year I could use)
  2. Should I be concerned as to why my trunk muscle mass is so high?
  3. No matter how much I eat, I can't get my fat % up!!!
  4. Just an overall summery of how you think my composition looks would be great?
Can someone make sense of my composition results?

Your body fat is 13% (average for women is high 20s) and your visceral (organ) fat is level 1, which means basically none. You're extremely fit as shown by other info there. Of course your trunk muscle mass is a high % - for most people a third of that would be fat instead :)

Okay! Thank you. I don't feel very fit as I have literally just started back, so don't know why my results show this 😆 x

Your body fat is extremely low. Are you wanting to increase your body fat? How much are you eating a day?

Yes I have been trying to. very average day of food would be ...

Breakfast - 10% greek yog with granola and honey.
Or multigrain hoops and milk.
with a cappuccino.

Snack- protein shake or banana

instant coffee with milk

lunch- microwave rice and chicken or tuna can with sunflower oil with a Yogurt, rice crispy squares bar, more biscuits )if they're lying around at work). Fruit.

snack- fruit, boiled eggs or malt loaf.

then another protein shake if i've been to gym after work.

Tea- halloumi pittas with home made chips, lasagne, spag bols, pizza, jacket potatoes, home made fish and chips, anything really!

pudding - muller corner yogurt or biscuit.

peppermint tea to digest

Your BMR is high, so if you’re moving lots every day and doing formal exercise 3 times a week, it’s likely that your maintenance calories are at least 2200 a day. Depending on your portion sizes you might be getting this from the food above. To put on a bit of body fat you’d need around 300-500 calories a day more than this.

Your BMI is in the healthy range though, so I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about unless you want to change the way you look.

You're in very good shape. A metabolic age younger than your biological age is good. In your case it is excellent because it is much younger than your actual age.

That's very true. I never sit down! And if I do sit down my minds racing!

I do try eat more on top of the above however I'd be eating more food when I'm not hungry which is just an awful feeling! The above example I can just about manage

Thank you, I did read being lower than your age is good but wasn't sure if being compared to the age of a child was very good or not

The labels and numbers are wonky. NO human male much less a female human is 90% muscle. I presume they mean 'lean body mass' so = total - fat - bones. Organs, fluids, skin ,hair... they all aren't skeletal muscle. The label is wrong.

12.9% body fat is suss too. That puts you below typical %fat for an anorexic, elite marathon runners or cyclists. You'd look very skinny with BMI well below 22, around 17-18.5

I know, the amount of muscle confuses me. but I have used this machine a few times and the results never differ (much)
