Reflective jacket for cycling

I cycled home from work last night and thought I need a highly reflective jacket as my yellow hi viz just wasn't showing up enough.

Can anyone recommend a brand please? Ideally waterproof or water resistant.

I've been looking at Pro-Viz - are they a good brand?

Pro-Viz are amazing (used for running rather than cycling here)

I git a brilliant pro viz dupe from mountain warehouse last year, only £25 in the sale. Will find pic of me in it and post....

The reflective item to the left is the smaller size I sent back 😆

My Proviz jacket was very visible, but it didn't go far enough down my back for cycling. I also found it very sweaty.

I've just got a Gofluo jacket and the length is much better, plus they have bright on as well as the silver if you're using it in the day. The sizes are big though - I'm a 14UK and got an S, which is good for me and will go over bulkier clothes, but some might want a slimmer fit.

Proviz is great, I use them for both running and cycling.

Proviz (and all reflective jackets) are great, but if you're cycling during winter cloudy daylight or early dusk/late dawn when drivers don't have their car lights on, then you're a grey blob against grey sky. And during the day in fog, a proviz jacket is almost invisible! I wear either a proviz gilet with a fluoro chest harness over hte top, or a fluoro vest with reflective stripes, so I'm visible both from hiviz and the reflective stripes if a car has lights on.

I also always use a front and rear light, regardless of time of day. This makes you immediately actively visible and breaks the subconscious pattern many drivers have where they're looking for a car, so their brains don't tell them about bikes (the classic SMIDSY)

Proviz here too, they are very visible but are also a bit sweaty, though no more than any fully waterproof non breathing jacket.

Second@roundaboutthehillsareshining in that you need lights at all times amd possibly a splash of fluo.

I don't have one but I've been wondering about one of these reversible ones:

to solve the dull daytime problem mentioned by a couple of people above.

The gilet I mentioned in my post is reversible - one side is reflective, the other fluoro yellow. And I love it for that choice, so when I go into work and it's lighter, I have the fluoro side out with an added reflective chest harness. Then coming home, I have the reflective side out, with the fluoro parts on my chest harness. I just wouldn't rely on the jacket on its own, as you need a combination of fluoro and reflective (and lights) to be visible across all situations...
