Has anyone got rid of their bingo wings using handheld weights?

I recently bought some small handheld weights and tried a few exercises daily for a few weeks. I can feel small muscles develop on the top of my arms but it's not affected my underarms, which is what I would really like to change. Had anyone had any success in improving this area please?

I’ve reduced mine a bit with muscle development (and obviously fat loss) with very heavy weights, for example I can tricep cable 24kg and tricep kickback 15kg dumbell. Or tricep overhead with 15kg. Or skillcrushers with 20kg. I can do unassisted dips (this is not the same as tricep dips off a chair which are quite easy). All of this in the gym.

Start with small weights at home but I doubt you’ll get the muscle development you seek with them.

One more thing. I see planks and press ups being advised. But I have massive boobs, so I really struggle to do these exercises as my bust probably weighs about a stone ( am an Apple shape ). It's hard to lift that amount of weight! I'm 5 foot 5 and 10 stone 5, so not hugely overweight, just struggle with those kind of exercises...

You can do press-ups into a Pilates ball so your boobs are kind of supported (if that makes sense)

Here's a couple of good tricep workouts you can do at home. Ignore the weights Caroline is using - just use what you have.

Not sure if link will be allowed, this is what I meant to support boobs doing press-ups (but with Pilates ring not ball). I don’t have big boobs myself but it definitely does seem to offer some support while still being very hard work for the arms!

One thing I see some of my colleagues doing is flexing their bicep then using that to show me how awful their bingo wings are.

You gotta flex the actual tricep to see the tricep! Don’t be cross with it for not being a bicep!

I split my days so one day I do chest and triceps, the next legs, the next back and biceps (think that's the way, I have a plan I use).

I can do the plank and I have massive boobs, in fact I find the plank fairly easy (I do it every time) same with sit ups (although I have to make sure I don't suffocate myself on the way back down😆). I remember my old gym instructor threatening to come and sit on us if we didn't do the plank properly, so I learnt early on to do it properly.

My arms are really toned, always have been, but once the collagen goes , it's the skin that causes bingo wings. I can feel (and hear) mine flapping when I run 😅

I have naturally bigger tops of my arms and they were actually the thing I hated the most when I started exercising more. I can remember looking at them in the gym mirror close to 4 years ago now and thinking “gross, these have to go”.

now I have fairly slim arms through a lot of work. I have lost just under 3 stone in weight through diet and exercise, which has helped in general. Using hand weights and machines for things like triceps dips, tricep extensions and skull crushers.

For me though running has helped a lot as it’s the exercise I do the most and has toned everything up. I do a lot though, sessions at the track for speed work, hill reps, long runs. Probably a total of between 20 and 45 miles a week depending on what I’m training for at the time. it’s a lot of effort and not for everyone, but it has given me an exercise focussed social circle which has helped me keep it up and I really enjoy it.

my arms are now the bit I’m most pleased with.

Yes and no, yes it’s the loose skin that causes bingo wings, but it’s the lack of any muscle under the skin, that causes it to be loose, as such, building both biceps and triceps, does help with bingo wings.

I eat healthily , box , do reformer Pilates, yoga flow, lift weights and I have bingo wings .
I think it is genetic tbh and there is only so much exercise can do to help.
