HRM and sports bras

Hi all, any recommendations of HRMs which will work with a sports bra? I’ve seen the Garmin HRM-fit which is £110, hoping for something cheaper if possible.

I think any will work with a sports bra, won't they? I just tuck mine under the bottom (mine is a Garmin HRM Pro, but I did have a cheaper one before)

Optical wrist ones... I've compared by similtaneously wearing Garmin & polar chest strap HRMs for long periods & plotting the 3 time series ... all within 5% of each other.

I just don’t fancy having 2 straps around, hoping to get one that just clips to the bra (sorry that I didn’t explain that too well!)

Thanks good idea - I’ll have a look. I do have this on my Apple Watch already but it won’t sync to my bike computer activity. Good old Apple..

I've switched to an arm on and no risk of chafing! Had the Garmin HRM-Fit, worked fine but did chafe if I was sweaty

Most watches have it built into the wrist now and the accuracy has improved since the early days and they're plenty good enough for most recreational runners.

There are arm straps as well as chest straps if you are after 1% gains and that higher accuarcy.

Thanks it’s for cycling and I use my bike computer not a watch. Will look into arm ones anyway :)

I wear a MyZone monitor under my sports bra strap. You can wear it on your wrist but I wear my Apple Watch there and it also monitors my heart rate.

MyZone have a sports bra that you can attach their hrm to. I haven't used the bra but have been hapy with the MyZone monitor.

I'm surprised that there don't seem to be any cheaper alternatives to the HRM-Fit available, although the HRM-Fit has come down in price since I got mine 18 months ago. It is a really good piece of kit and I think it's worth biting the bullet regarding the cost.

Thanks all for your advice, I’ve decided to order an armband one: the polar verity sense. I hadn’t considered that until this thread so your responses are really appreciated!
