Buying exercise clothes as a size 18-20

Any ideas? I play regular out door sports and need trousers and tops. The trend for leggings does not suit me at all, M&S trackie bottoms are shapeless and often too thick....I just want to look a bit more tailored......all ideas gratefully received......thanks in advance......

What kind of sports, does it need to be specific for say not flapping/running around etc?
i am a size 18 and tend to wear leggings with a longer top but you could go more jersey harem type ones? Not the baggy crotch type!

Have you looked in Sainsbury’s? They have a nice range of workout/athleisure wear with some great fabrics at the moment. Ditto matalan - I find their souluxe range washes well and has alternatives to leggings.

you say exercise clothes, my go to is lululemon align with oversized tunic type tops.
I use to get exercise clothing from landend a few years back.

Oh. Thanks all. Some good ideas here. Forgot about supermarket options: silly me, as I have been successful there before. Given the average size of women is a 16 there has got to be enough demand in the market place for designers & shops to service this market rather than designing stuff for a size 6 sample size then just making stuff in larger sizes.

I like matalan for sportswear. I have leggings and tops and sports socks from there

I’m a 16-18 and a runner so I wear leggings. I wear what’s practical for the activity, which is running leggings. Tracksuit bottoms or joggers aren’t practical for lots of sports.

I also hate leggings, I’m short and curvy and I don’t look good in them. What’s working for me just now though is bootcut/flared leggings which are having a moment just now - absolute game changer! The flare balances out my curves and the tight top half holds me in. Mine are Sweaty Betty Power Flares (via Vinted) but I see CRZ Yoga who I like too (Amazon) have a dupe.

My 3 go to places are

matalan
m and s
Tu (Sainsbury’s)

Ive just got some lovely cotton boot leg leggings from matalan which are perfect for comfy outdoor sport.

Try Sainsbury's they recently did a range with Oti Mabuse.

I'm 16-18. M&S often a good shout. I go for leggings and baggy top. I also got Sweaty Betty leggings last year which were ace. Think they and Lululemon only do some colours in the larger sizes.

Sweaty Betty does all sizes in all colours.
