I've got New Balance 860 (wide)
A good general purpose stability trainer.

I've worn them for a few years since marathon training on road and firm trails.

Happyasharryy · 18/07/2025 21:58

I have wide feet and my favourite running shoes are Nike React Escape Run. They have a good spongy sole and wide toe box.

hexsnidgett · 18/07/2025 22:02

New balance wide fitting for me. I mostly buy them direct, but have seen them in their outlet shops.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 18/07/2025 22:05

Brooks and New Balance are quite wide anyway, but NB also do sone styles in a wide fit.

RunningJo · 18/07/2025 22:26

I wear a wide fitting running shoe. Various brands do them, alternatively you could try mens trainers as they come a bit wider.

VenusInfers · 19/07/2025 07:34

I need wide trainers with a generous toe box. After trying a few different brands I now wear men's Altra shoes. Men's shoes in general are wider, and the fit on these has been fantastic in both the trail shoes & the general runners.

BeamMeUpCountMeIn · 19/07/2025 07:37

You could try Altras. They make a foot shaped trainer.
I wear Saucony, they seem wider than others.

I have hoka gaviota wide fit and can recommend

mrssunshinexxx · 19/07/2025 08:52

I’ve worn wide fit New Balance & Hokkas in the past. Currently wearing Mizuno & love them.

I went to a proper running shop for my latest pair, to get their advice and help finding the best for. I don't run, but I do walk a lot every day and do gym classes a few times a week. I need a wide trainer with great foot support and a comfortable sole. Ended up with a pair of Hoka Arahi 7, which are great for me - lots of room, stability, comfort and support.

cavachonqueen0504 · 19/07/2025 09:03

Hoka trainers are great

Octovent · 19/07/2025 09:05

Wide fit for women is a D width.

Mens trainers come in D width as standard.

Aasics come up wide, brooks do a wide fit. It's best to try on as some women need a wide toe box rather than wide fit (i.e. Altra, Topo) - I have a wide mid foot so those don't work for me. I think on cloud also do a wide fit (I've never tried).

If ordering online I would go brooks wide fit or mens asics as safe bets.

Grainsandgains · 19/07/2025 09:07

Wide footed here. I buy man's trainers..... Hoka is generally great for me.

SaveMeNow2024 · 19/07/2025 10:36

Brooks do wide fits

MagicSpaceTurtle · 19/07/2025 10:39

I need a roomy toe box and have wide feet with bunions. Definitely recommend Hoka Clifton

CMOTDibbler · 19/07/2025 11:10

I wear either Hoka wide fit or my current new favourite is On Cloudrunner wide. I had Cloudstratus before and they were good, but not quite wide enough, so glad they now do an actual wide fit

mrssunshinexxx · 19/07/2025 11:16

Thank you all really appreciate it going to go to my local sports shop tomorrow and try on

I buy men's sneakers, they often fit wider.

thinkfast · 21/07/2025 00:23

I have wide feet. Brooks trainers are amazing. Come in a wide fitting. Go to a shop and get fitted correctly with correct shoes for your gait.

FeelinTwentySixPointTwo · 21/07/2025 08:08

Brooks.

Hoka are notoriously narrow - their wide fit is equivalent to most brands' standard fit. If you look at the reviews, the number of people saying their Hokas split at the toebox so their little toes poke out the side is quite alarming (happened to me too).

On are also narrow too. Nike are a good standard fit, also Asics. I don't run in Salomon for road shoes do can't comment on those really. Saucony are fairly wide but you need to go up a size for the length.

So in short, avoid Hokas and you spuld find something that works!

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 21/07/2025 08:12

I can’t get my fat feet into Asics, even the men’s. Far too narrow for me. I wear Nike Pegasus (which my DDs tell me are described as running shoes for people who don’t run Grin), which fit my feet perfectly.

Gizmosgremlins · 21/07/2025 08:14

Brooks adrenaline gts are brilliant and they come in a wide fit option. Happy shopping!

PauliString · 21/07/2025 08:15

Altras for me. I've been wearing New Balance wide fit for years but the current styles don't seem to fit my hobbit feet quite as well.

Men's sizes tend to start at 6, which is too big.
