I’m going to have some time off coming up so want to take the opportunity to improve my flexibility. I have zero at the moment- can’t touch my toes.

any recommendations for programs to follow to improve from a zero base? Thanks

Is there any chance of you finding a local hatha or iyengar class? A good teacher will adapt postures to different levels & also encourage the use of props like blocks & straps.

Yoga with Adrienne on you tube has lots of beginner videos if different lengths. Start easy and build up.

This guy is good:

www.yogabody.com/

But honestly I would ask about teachers local to you, at least to get started.

If you can possibly find someone who does one to one lessons, you can get off to a really good start. It’s so easy to confuse what a pose looks like and how to reproduce the same actual effort in your own limbs. A one to one teacher was the only way I finally got the hang of that. Otherwise I kept injuring myself., entirely out of ignorance.

Thanks for the suggestions

I'd do Pilates instead. It's much more suitable for stiffer people. I've been doing Pilates for years. I can't even get into (or out of) most Yoga positions safely!
