Does anyone have one? Are they any good? I can't always get out and do my steps but don't want to waste money on a fad!

Yes absolutely game changing for me. I either use it at my desk whilst working, or if I've had a very stagnant day I use it in the evenings whilst watching TV.

Jumping on here - which do you have?

I have just had surgery and not going to be running/cycling for a while. Can't even walk at the moment, but once I can, having a way to combine my work with some rehab will be helpful until I can start getting outside and onto uneven surfaces again.

It's this one I think - amzn.eu/d/5fib801 (currently £190 but there's a £40 voucher) - I like the fact it inclines, I'm all about multitasking 😂

I was considering getting one as a Christmas present but all the ones that I looked at seemed quite short. I'm not particularly tall but I felt that my stride would be too long for a walking pad and I wasn't sure I would expend enough energy to bring my blood glucose down (I have diabetes). All the videos of people using one seemed quite slow with short steps. I got a water rowing machine instead, six minutes on that has about the same effect as 45 minutes of brisk walking, plus I can do it in my pyjamas and without having to put on runners and a coat. I think if I was using a computer all day and had a standing desk then it would be worth it because two hours a day of relatively slow walking is miles better than just sitting, but the fast burn of the rower fits into my lifestyle better.

Thanks. Will need to measure up to see if it will fit into the not very large space by my desk.

I've got one and it's brilliant. I need to lose that baby weight and it's really helping

I have one, and it's great. It's currently under my standing desk. I take a good walk in the morning before meetings, while I am sending emails and signing documents. I can get a few thousand steps in and work up a bit of a sweat!

I love mine, I have it under my desk and just push it to the side when not in use and will switch between that, standing and sitting. I use it during the work day but also just catching up on YouTube etc

Tanfastic · 15/01/2025 22:35

I have one. I hardly move all day at work so jump on it after tea and just do thirty or forty minutes to get my steps up. I watch tv or flick tik tok whiksr I'm walking.

I have one and my 6 foot 2 husband also borrows it, so height isn't an issue. I dont use it to for cardio, I do that separately. I use it to get steps in otherwise I'm tied to a desk for 8 hours.

I try to schedule it in and aim for 5000-1000k steps on it. But even an extra 2k is beneficial. I have it on a fast walk and do non 'deep thinking' work. I do have to change cloths though as I get hot. I have a walking pad. C3 I think.

Yes! I have one under my desk (with standing desk converter) at home. Use it for an hour or two when I’m working at home to get my steps up. Really helps
