Hello, after a rough time I need to sort out my health/weight and restart exercise but am pretty terrified. I'm too self conscious to run but will try to restart some brisk walks. Ideally looking for some sort of plan that just gives me a set of exercises each day or evey other day and reminds me to do etc - kinda like Duolingo for exercise?! Not sure if such a thing exists?! Having to keep finding routines won't work for me as my mind is overwhelmed so need something easy....Any ideas??? Thank you x

I could do with an app like that.
DH and I are pretty good about walking but I really need to get back into doing other forms of exercise. Having woken an hour early because of the clock change today would have been an ideal time to start.

I used to do Jillian Michaels, and more recently tried Caroline Girvan - she's too hardcore for me, and I can't abide the music on either of these nowadays. I want someone who gives me clear, calm instructions so I can get up and do something without disturbing DH.

There’s no reason you can’t do the NHS Couch to 5k app and just alternate slow and fast walking rather than walking and running . There are also exercise plans at the bottom of this link https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/get-running-with-couch-to-5k/

Not quite what you asked but I have just started something. I do 10K steps a day and do a small group training class at a local community gym (its almost 1 to 1). Log my food on my fitness pal. Eating less calories than I was but not too low and lost well over a stone this was in just under two months. But I have a lot more to go.

The Body Coach by Joe Wicks would probably be the type of thing you're looking for

Have a look at the With U app. Lots of choice among the free workouts. I think there are programmes on there too, maybe on subscription though. You could schedule 4 weeks of a mix of the free workouts for yourself though? Good luck

Can you do the Joe wicks one without following his food plans? Can't see his recipes working with the kids/amount of prep right now

You can, as long as you eat healthily and an appropriate amount of calories.
Saying that, lots of the food is really family friendly or can be easily altered to make it
