Period knickers for working out

Any good experiences/recs?

I now exclusively use period knickers, but I work out 4/5 days a week. I have a few pairs of Modibodi standard bikinis which are definitely better than the generic period knickers I have from other sources, but I still feel like there's some danger when I combine my period with sweat, vigorous movement etc and my leggings do sometimes get slightly stained. I'm intrigued by e.g. the Modibodi x Puma boxer style knickers and the cycling shorts. Any reviews?

I have the modibody full heavy flow and never have had issues, I use them for dual purpose as exercise can result in bladder leaks in me too, they work for both

Fun fact. Period pants were actually invented by a long distance runner who has started to leak urine, and she invented them for that purpose. They were just marketed as period pants when it was realised there was a bigger market for this.

The M&S 3 packs of period knickers work well for me. Wash well and comfortable

Btw the Modibodi active boyshorts were exactly what I wanted. I wore them today to work out on Day 1 and it still made me nervous to exercise vigorously while bleeding freely, but they contained it all and are super comfy.

I know this isn't what OP is asking, but another useful thing is that Moon cups (and other menstrual cups) can help with bladder weakness.

I suffered with this during perimenopause so would pop my mooncup in when doing vigorous exercise. The advantage is that you can use it when you're not bleeding and likely more comfortable than period (or other) pants. I don't wear underwear when training.

I reached menopause this April and am pleased that the bladder weakness appears to have eased so I guess it might have been hormonal.
