Hi
No weight issues. Do heavy weights regularly and I'm muscly.
I am not however flexible and have zero coordination. This is why I think I'd benefit from some form of Zumba or dancercise.
I'd like to do some Pilates with holds(?) to complement my strength training.
Being realistic, I am competitive by nature ( I time my crosswords and other puzzles 😂, always train to failure etc)) so I'd like some Pilates/yoga that feels challenging but is slow and controlled.

Any ideas for online resources?

I strength train and have done Lottie Murphy Pilates (some free on youtube or she has a paid channel with more, and more advanced, classes).

I would say that the core and the mobility stuff is great if you strength train. I didn't find her eg triceps/biceps/legs strength stuff any good for me as was a much lighter version of what I do in the gym - I'd have been better resting those muscles on my off days. And have found the same with real life Pilates classes. They'd have been a great introduction to strength training but now, for me, I'm better with either my heavy weights, or rest and recovery. So if I do it now, I choose really core-focussed stuff as little and often is good for that anyway and it can always be challenging. And if I do mobility, again I focus on that.

You could look at Chloe Hodgson's pilates, which is much more strength focused and less "flowy".

Get a 1:1 first if you want to do Pilates. Posture and correct alignment is everything. Look for a BCP or Stott instructor. Start with basic matwork, then move up to equipment - small ball, swiss ball, weighted balls, pilates ring, roller and bands.

Pilates is always challenging. If it is not, you are doing it wrong.
