Whilst pregnant I got really in to swimming, I've been trying to get back in to it but am struggling to find the time to go without baby. Baby is now 3 months old - is there anything I can use to take them in the pool with me so I can swim and push them around so they can enjoy the water/view?

not If you want to swim lengths …I discovered my local sports centre has a cheap swim-only membership and the pool opens at 6am (except Sunday 7am, that’s where I’m headed now!) I can usually do a 45mins swim either kids sleeping or dad watches over them.

its brilliant to get away for an hour… see if you can

I think they’re too small for a floating vest at that age, plus you won’t get much exercise with them there. Just enjoy time with them in the water & do lengths when you go by yourself. Why are you struggling to find time, is their dad around?

In a few months, when they can hold their head well, they could sit in one of the rings, which have a seat with leg holes and back rest. Then you can push them and swim with your legs. I went to a postnatal mum and baby group, where we used these. It's just a fully inflatable thing - nothing heavy or bulky. Remember the big pools tend to be quite cold though, and the pool staff will restrict you to the shallower end of the pool.

I'm a member of a leisure club and the pool is warm enough for baby to go in luckily, some sort of ring is what I was thinking - I'll have to pay attention to see what the other mums use. Dads around but works shifts so I can't get in to the same routine I used to have - dropped older one at school and then went straight which is a shame because that's when I was consistent. I could go around dads shifts but I tend to have no motivation later in the day.
