Struggling with stairs!

I exercise with a trainer doing boxing twice a week and have done for the last 2 months & some weight training but I'm really struggling with stairs still .

I have been diagnosed with long covid in early 2023 and went through periods of severe breathlessness but it seems to be getting a lot better

Can anyone suggest how I can train for larger flights of stairs ( 200 + stairs ) which I sometimes encounter on country walks / historic site tours

Weirdly I walk up the stairs in the tube station a couple of times a week and feel ok 🤷‍♀️

If you work with a trainer why not tell them this is one of your goals so they can include it in your programme? A good trainer should be adapting your programme to meet your goals.

The trainer is a strength coach with a very specific programme already , hence why I hired the boxing trainer to do cardio . However boxing alone doesn't seem to be helping .

Someone messaged me re getting screened for pots so I will do that

I have a powerlifting coach, so a very specific programme too, but if I told him I was struggling with stairs and it was an issue for me, he'd put something in my programme to help me. They're coaching the whole person. I've had stuff in my programming before so I can come in on days I'm working at home and want to get out of the house. That was the purpose, cos it matters that I'm happy.

You can test yourself for PoTs there are instructions on YouTube, you just need something that can measure your heart rate.
