Something like the Sony bluetooth ones but lightweight. I cannot wear in ear or over ear phones. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Shokz bone conduction which sit outside your ear

I 2nd the Shokz headphones - I've got an older model trekz titanium and love them. I can't get on with in ear headphones - they're either uncomfortable or prone to slipping out when I sweat and don't like over ear headphones as I sweat a lot. The shokz are very comfortable and it's good to be able to hear traffic, people, bicycle bells etc I've had mine for 5 years now and they still work perfectly and hold their charge.

Shokz website with all the different models.

Another vote for shokz.
I don't get on with anything in-ear either.

Joining in to share the Shokz love! Bone conductors are the only sensible headphones to wear for running. Not being able to hear what's going on around you is foolish and unsafe (traffic, cyclists tinging their bells, other/faster runners wanting to overtake/someone chasing you...)

I'm on my 3rd pair of bone conductors (1st one was a cheap pair to try them out, upgraded to a better pair when I realised they were the right kind for me, 3rd pair were shokz when the second pair broke) and shokz really are way better than the others - the sound quality is much, much better. And they fit better on my head too.

I also use the Shokz, totally agree that you have to be aware of your surrounds when running. But does anyone find they seem a bit big, so I can’t run with anything like a collar, and now if I wear I have to have a ponytail to hold up the back of them. It feels like a big loop hanging off the back of my head- and these are female one and I don’t have a freakishly small head.

Not long after I bought mine they introduced a smaller version. Can’t remember when - maybe a couple of years ago or less.

Totally agree about Aftershokz - perfect first running. Easy to quickly slip off if you need to listen to the outside world properly. Quite robust as well.
