Most pissed off because the shop allows you to return to swap pairs of you have just one them the once if they aren’t a good fit.

I was thinking that one ankle was aching and they felt a bit loose over the toes, so was considering taking them back - no way can I do that now!

bloody dog owners.

Deal with it outdoors

If wet, dance in a puddle
If near a stream/pond, have a (semi) paddle

Then shuffle through as long and as tough grass as you can find.

If residue remains, then take off before stepping indoors and then hose from outdoors tap if you have one, whilst poking in the treads with a stick. Or just do your best with the stick.

Then leave them outdoors, and go for as many soggy runs as you can as soon as you can.

Sadly we live in a flat - so I can’t leave them outside! I hate the thought of shitty runners stinking up the hall.

Old toothbrush under the tap, then anti bac spray, then toothbrush again just to be sure!

cocktail sticks, bleach, kitchen towel, water and plenty time to sniff, rinse, repeat until it’s gone - so grim the smallest spec stinks

In that case, you need a throwaway stick (to poke into the treads) and a BootBuddy Boot Buddy - Award Winning Shoe & Boot Cleaner and hopefully you'll be able to deal with it on your doorstep

Wipe as much as you can off on grass then an old toothbrush and soap powder or a washing pod. I wouldn’t be touching it without gloves on and I never did it in my sink, I used to use a bucket with boiling water and did it outside.

If that happens I hook them over the picket fence in the garden (away from the patio)!and blast them with the hose, then let them dry in the sun.

Ugh that sucks. I can’t stand dog owners who do that. So selfish. I find myself staring at the ground so much to avoid it kind of ruins my walks a bit but I stepped in a huge pile of it once I had to chuck my trainers out.

I live in a flat too and wouldn’t want it stinking up the hallway either.

I assume there’s no communal garden? If not, can you stick on a pair of gloves, bring a container of hot water, disinfectant or bleach and some rags/kitchen towel outside somewhere and clean the residue off once you’ve wiped as much as you can off with a stick? Hot water should loosen it up and then wiping it with bleach should finish it off.

I'll second a boot buddy, particularly if you're in a flat, it'll let you clean them outside.
We're constantly cleaning muddy walking boots so it's a godsend.
