PureGym MIND class - like Les Mills Bodybalance?

Hello all, I've seen my local PureGym advertising their "MIND" class. I know their PUMP class is very similar Les Mills Bodypump. Does anyone know if the MIND classes are similar to Bodybalance?

The description reads "Designed to make you move better, MIND focuses on flexibility, mobility and stability, and draws inspiration from sports recovery, yoga and calisthenics to create connection between mind and movement"

I'm tempted to book and just give it a go, but I'm very unfit and nervous about arriving to a class that is way about my ability level - the fact it says calisthenics is a bit nerve-racking as I just imagine it being like Cross-Fit!

I don't know anything about that class but I do calisthenics - and the approach is very different from crossfit. Calisthenics just means using bodyweight as resistance for strength training - so it could be eg starting with wall push ups and gradually working downwards. All the beginner moves should be reasonably slow, controlled and scaled for the individual with lots of different variants and an emphasis on good form (similar to Pilates). I would give it a go.

Thanks @MsMartini that's really helpful - I didn't realise that all calisthenics are not like CrossFit!

Good! Also, it is pretty unlikely that a class at a high street gym won't be suitable for beginners unless it says it isn't (I tried loads at my old one and only one was really not for me). IME they are great ways to try new things out, find good instructors, find what works for you.......

My gym did offer these classes and I loved them.
A real mix of flexibility, and conditioning, we used hand held weights for some routines, I felt like it was a mix of yoga, Pilates and general stretching and flexibility. Good for deep core exercises too.
A really good addition to other fitness and I liked the effect it had on my mental health too.
Really sad when gym stopped offering it.
