£100 budget fitness tracker?

Could anyone recommend me a fitness tracker that is around £100 (no more than £130 really)? I have never had one but I'd like to use one for jogging, swimming and step counting. Nothing too fancy but with some decent accuracy and easy to connect to an android phone. Thanks in advance!

You can get a garmin forerunner 55 for about £150

Or a vivosmart 4 for under £100

Basic Garmin - I had a Forerunner 35 for years and it would do that (and ten you can examine all your stats in the (free) Garmin connect app.

Any Garmin will do this - so you could look out for second hand - it's a good time of year to be looking as so many of the lucky beasts who got new ones for Xmas will be selling off their old ones right now

I have had two Garmin's. Both from eBay, used.
The first one was £30 and got me hooked on them. The next and current is a very fancy Garmin Instinct, which helps me understand lots of things about my energy levels as well as having individual sports I can 'monitor' for training. It cost £78.
I have always been a 'get a 2nd hand one and see if I really like it, before I splash out' kind of person, but that aside, I think £100 is a lot of money if it's you're first one and may end up sitting in a drawer if you're not able to 'get on' with it.

If you want to go running then get one with built in GPS. some of the cheaper ones don't have this and if you want to accurately track distance and pace etc you need to use the GPS off your phone with it. You can't go wrong with a Garmin although I'm not sure if the basic models count swim lengths.

Thank you for all the advice! I think I'll look for a second hand Garmin then and see how I get on with it!

If you’re on Facebook there’s a group called Running Gear Buy & Sell where watches often come up

I have a Fit Bit which is great but I can't track more specific exercises such as in the gym using the bike or cross trainer - or even weights. Anyone know of one that has more exercises than just running or cycling?

I would have said a Fitbit Charge as I've loved my last 3, but since the google takeover they've mad a right pigs ear of the app.

You can directly track only a limited type of exercises - run, hike, bike, swim but they have some catchall types 'workout','outdoor workout and possibly a weights setting. When the app wasn't a complete knobhead, you could go back in and edit the exercise to something more meaningful (e.g. something that had tracked as a walk, you could change it to horseriding)
