Swimming and Apple Watch stats

Hi all
I never had swimming lessons and my dad taught me how to swim in the sea and local lakes. I only know breaststroke and can swim on my back but struggle with the arm stroke so just keep them to the side (I rarely a swim on my back). I started swimming just over a month ago and go 5 times a week. Some days I seem to be mostly in zone one but have had some sessions when I’m in zone 2 as well. I have no option of adult lessons at moment and keep watching you tube for tips. I start my swim with a kick off the wall, with my head under water. Breathe out mainly through my mouth and breath in when my heads comes up.

are these stats ok for a relative beginner? Should I strive for more time in zone 2? I would like to lose some weight but mainly want to tone up and I love how swimming makes me feel! I walk a lot too and sometimes run on the treadmill. I don’t weigh myself and am a UK size 10/12.

the pool is 17.5 meters but Apple Watch set to 17.

there are two comparable swims time wise but one has more laps.

I forgot to mention that I always swim in a fasted state. I’ve been an IF for nearly 3 years now. I tend to be around 18 hours into my fast when I start swimming most days.

It's faster than most people in my pools.
Are you wanting to increase cardio fitness only by swimming?
