Which app for home workouts?

Struggling to find the time to get to the gym but WFH 80% of the time, so thinking short lunchtime home workouts could be the way to go. I've tried choosing workouts on YouTube in the past but end up a bit blinded by choice so thinking I might be better off paying for an app which is ideally a bit more directional. Has anyone used / would they recommend RWL, Joe Wicks - or something else? Thanks!

Caroline Girvan. She has an app, CGX I think it's called, however the has so much content on YouTube that I've not felt the need to get the app despite doing her workouts 3+ times a week.
She has so many programs on YT that she's still very directional even though it's free.
If you look on her website, there's a raft of information describing the format of each program.
My favourites are Iron Series and Beastmode

I enjoy the Sweat app. I like the structured workouts that progress over time. Mostly HIIT and strength on there, but does have other workout types too (yoga, barre).

If you are looking for a meal planner too then JW is great. I do the workouts but not the food yet, however very supportive, a lot of workouts to choose from and many people see great progress (when they do it right!)

Fiit is really good and has a huge variety

FitOn app! It's free and amazing. I tried so many apps before this, some were for money but FitOn is the first one that I am happy to do consistently for more than 2 years now. They have 10-15 min workouts - hiit, weights, barre. My favourite is weighted cardio which is very short but intense, and barre w Sydney.

I like Lucy Wyndham-Read on You tube. I did Joe wicks for a bit but found Lucy better for myself, I felt I did too many squats with Joe!

Les Mills is great

Jillian Micheals ‘fitness app’ so
many choices of things to do

I second Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube, she does 7 & 5 minute routines which are easy to follow, and targets different parts of the body.

Les Mills has everything from strength, to balance to cardio, and you feel like you're in a group exercise class (without the annoying people!). About £12 per month. Maybe Black Friday deals make it even cheaper.

Another vote for Les Mills, if you can get a good deal.

I agree with you about too much choice - main thing is to find one programme with enough variety and structure for you (many offer free trials if they are paid) and stick to it.

Brilliant, thanks for all the recommendations! I think I'll do free trials for a few of them and see which I like best 💪
