Does Garmin Vivofit give anyone 'tingle arm'?

Hello MNers,

Earlier this year, full of enthusiasm for self-monitoring, I bought a FitBit Charge 5. It was massive on my 5.5" wrist, and I couldn't get a comfortable fit that was tight enough to get a reading. After a few days, my arm started to feel numb, tingly and heavy. This cleared up when I stopped wearing the FB and then came back when I had another go (I really wanted the d--d thing to work for me!).

I have no idea whether the arm pain was caused by the poor fit or by the electrical impulses/whatever emanated by the device, as suggested on various websites.

After lots of back and forth with FB, I got a refund. Quite a few people have had this issue, and I think FB is looking ahead to potential lawsuits.

I'm now thinking about the Garmin Vivofit 5, which has a small strap option and looks much more compact.

What experiences have people had with the Vivofit? Any 'tingle/numb arm'?

Thanks!

Yes! I had weird feeling/sensations when using a fitbit! Luckily, I'd borrowed it off a friend to try before buying one. I didn't buy one. Everyone I told about it looked at me like I was mad.

After a day or two, my arm felt the way it does after a flu shot, heavy and achy. And I'm not someone who worries about 5G towers or microwave ovens. It was very strange, and not in a good way. 🤔🙁
