Trainer recommendations, please?

I'm in the market for new trainers and after recommendations from lovely MNers. I've been on all the review sites but there isn't a clear consensus so I need MN wisdom!

My sports are HIIT/circuits, weight-lifting and boxing.

I need trainers with a thick-ish sole and a bit of bounce. But I don't need running trainers per se.

DP has some Saucony ones which he loves and look to fit the bill.
But before I take the plunge for Saucony, does anyone have another recommendations, please?

My budget is probably up to £150-£200.

I am so grateful, thank you.

Trainers are such a personal item, what suits one person won't suit another.
I would take a trip to a specialist sports shop (not sports direct or similar) and get them to fit you with a pair of shoes.
My DH is also a Saucony fan, I can't wear them! I'm a Brooks wearer..which he can't get on with.

As @brooksghost says it's so individual! I run in asics and lift in metcons. Would never lift in asics or run in metcons though Grin

You can never have too many pairs!! I get asics from the asics outlet website.

You're absolutely right that its individual but I feel like I need to start with a brand and go from there. Its just choosing where to start that's the problem. Until now, I've just used whatever takes my fancy in Sports Direct but now I want (and can afford) proper working out shoes!

Good shout to get fitted with some

How heavy weights? I have Nike metcons which are really good - I squat and leg press heavy. I got them on Vinted worn once for £30.

Pick your top priority and spend most on those. For me that was running as I wanted to protect my knees so I spent more on new Asics which are super bouncy and I love.

The weight lifting, I just knew I couldn't lift in running shoes and I'd probably be carrying it on but wasn't sure at the time. Now I will of course especially as the shoes are great.

For HIIT/circuits I am prone to twisting my ankle and need arch support so I will probably get some Reebox HIIT or Flex trainers as they look supportive. They are mid range £50-£60. On Cloud look pretty good too, a bit more ££.

I'm at about 75kg for squat and dead-lift.

Good point about picking priorities, thank you!

Metcons are a good compromise for those activities. People wear different shoes for squats and deads when they're specialising and then they don't be any use for HIIT. Metcons are good enough for lifting.

Thank you, I'll have a look at MetCons.
