Hoka, On Cloud, something else?

I am in need of a new pair of trainers and am looking for something that will tick a lot of boxes! I am not a runner but do a lot of classes - Les Mills body pump, weights classes (lower weights, lots of reps, fairly static), tabata, Zumba, step (though limiting this as it seems to aggravate my ankle). Budget around £100 - £150
I've been looking at Hoka and On Cloud but somebody told me Hoka are no good for weights. The focus seems to be on running for both of them when I think I am after a mixed everyday training shoe which will give some support to my ageing knees and ankles!
Anybody got Hoka or On Cloud and can advise? Or is there something better out there for me? Am I just being drawn in by the hype?

I have Hoka's for running and long distance walking and they are amazing, so supportive and comfortable. I also wear them to gym classes, but always take them off when doing weights, they just aren't stable enough. I've tried On Clouds, they don't suit me at all, feel very flat, but we're all different, I've got funny feet! My partner however loves them and can't stand Hoka. If you can find a decent running shop and try both I'd recommend it, they are very different shoes.

My son recently bought Hokas for running but found them very heavy. You need to go to a good shop and try on lots of different pairs, as everyone is different.

I'd get a flat pair like nike metcons for pump and weights, and a more bouncy, supportive pair for step and zumba- one pair for both won't be great for either!

I have Nike metcons, brilliant for squats. I got them almost new on Vinted for £30 whereas new would be about £90. I have some Asics for running. I do run in the Metcons on a treadmill and they are fine, though was thinking to take the Asics and swap them.

Reebok do some HIIT and Flex options which look good for Zumba type stuff. I overpronate and have a tendency toward a weak ankle, I used to twist it a lot playing netball so I think I'd want something like that which is quite supportive for Zumba.

On Cloud 1000%. I use for both running and gym/studio classes. Great stability. I actually have two pairs one indoors and one for out. One of the few that do wide sizing too. Plus they look GOOD!

@CookieDoughKid I agree they look good! Definitely a factor!

Thanks everyone, I've found a shop selling both and a variety of others too so I'll go and have a try on. Budget may be overspent!
