Wall Pilates - does it work?

I keep getting adverts for Wall Pilates in my social media feeds. Has anyone done one of these programmes and does it make a difference? I already do 2 "ordinary" Pilates classes a week.

I’m a Pilates instructor and I don’t know what wall Pilates is (unless it’s using a Wall for support/resistance in which case it’s just a modification on normal Pilates?). They may be talking about a Tower Class (a tower mounted onto the wall with springs and a push through bar?).

Tower classes are absolutely fantastic but please check the qualifications of your instructors- since Pilates has become trendy and reformer studios are popping up everywhere we are seeing all sorts of issues where people aren’t being instructed properly and causing injury. If you do end up doing the classes make sure you work to your own body and ask for modifications as needed (if they can’t give you modifications run like hell). Generally speaking, If you’re in a class where everyone is doing exactly the same thing with no individual variation for injury etc it’s a bad class (unless perhaps it’s a really gentle intro class).

I'm getting peppered with these adverts too. I think it's just exercise labelled as Pilates like bridges against the wall. It's all offering a quick fix which doesn't usually seem to be possible or there'd be loads of toned people about

Looks like a carpet burned nose waiting to happen to me
