Very wobbly size 10 here that has thick, jiggly and saggy legs.

i need to exercise.

no idea where to start in getting appropriate gym attire? I always have a camel toe no matter what I buy, want something that holds the thighs and hides the cellulite but equally do not want to pay £50 for a pair of leggings and still need a top!

I get super hot when I work out and don’t sweat much so I definitely need to wear something that keeps me as cool as poss. Not confident enough for shorts, unless they come down to my knees.

where do I start? Thank you!

I got these when I first started running and they are super comfy, stay up really well and are massively flattering. I got some really nice running t-shirts in matalan.

Matalan is good for leggings too. I wear capri length.

Can you wear whatever leggings are comfy and then put short (eg running style) shorts over the top? I don't feel good in just leggings myself so that's what I prefer. Usually capri length. And then a sports crop/bra with a looser tank top or singlet over the top

I prefer trousers to leggings. Get all running gear bar bras from Decathlon.

mynameiscalypso · 02/06/2023 07:28

M&S are the best value range I think. Primark used to be quite good but the last few pairs of leggings I have from there are rubbish. In terms of camel toe, I just buy longer vests.

Decathlon is easily the best VFM and the performance is very good indeed.

Also look in TKMaxx - they sometimes have high performance brands (such as 2XU for compression gear - good for wobbly bits) at a significant discount

Check charity shops for tops - they're nigh on indestructible, so second hand is fine. There's also an organisations with a name something like re-run clothing that specialises in finding new homes from donated sports gear

I swear by these. I have 3 pairs. I work out, Rock climb, walk my doggos, I sometimes wear them for everyday use and they're cheap!

Decathlon or H&M. I have sweaty Betty leggings but my H&M pairs are just as thick fabric wise.
I got a three pack of long workout vests from Amazon. I sized up as can't stand fitted tops (apple shape with big chest). They were cheap and long enough to cover any camel toe. Although to be honest, no one will notice when you are moving, camel toe is almost always worst when your stand in front of a mirror and look at it! The running pants from Decathlon are fab and will also help minimise camel toe.

Shorts - I am a total convert to the cycle short style which don't give me chaffing and can be found in longer lengths. I have some which come to almost my knees but have discovered the shorter length ones are actually more flattering as otherwise it gives me a barrel leg look!
