Southend is as flat as it gets, but it's in June so potentially quite warm!

RunningFromInsanity · 30/03/2023 14:47

Cambridge half, 160ft total elevation, literally one hill.

boingboingboingboing · 30/03/2023 14:52

Paddock wood is flat - that's early March

Hampton Court has 2 - both flat and very fast. Also I found the new forest half to be flat.

I did the New Forest half in 2005 and was definitely NOT flat. Maybe they have changed the course since. Wokingham is pretty flat, but not totally, has several inclines but no real hills as such.

RunningFromInsanity · 30/03/2023 15:00

Thetford half in June is flat and nice through the forest.

Edinburgh half is completely flat x

Swansea

Thanks I think my shortlist is

Bath
Oxford
Hackney
Hampton court
Brighton

I'll do more research on each and check dates again as I may be able to pick one for this year and one for next.

Southend is all seafront. Flat af

Noseylittlemoo · 31/03/2023 06:01

If you want one soon .there's one in Milton Keynes on 1st May and one in Richmond on 7th May.
There are several HM in Milton Keynes (March/May /December)and they're all 90% flat. Unfortunately the last mile is uphill! There's also a few in Battersea Park which is very fast and flat but a lot of laps.

Paperexcelandpens · 31/03/2023 06:42

Are you looking for toilets on the route that have been put out by organisers? I've never heard of toilets out on a half marathon course only full marathons.

Sanch1 · 31/03/2023 06:47

Bristol is pretty flat, usually in September.

ginandoreos · 31/03/2023 06:51

The Henley Half is such a picturesque run! There is a hill thorough....!

Allschoolsareartschools · 31/03/2023 06:53

Cardiff is really flat & a fairly decent route. Early October this year.

ginandoreos · 31/03/2023 06:57

If you're looking for some London runs there are these 10Ks in Regent's Park.

(Sorry can't get link to work!)

Bath half also recommended.

Brighton is very hilly but also good fun!

LLHM has toilets on route organised by the organisers. Did it last year, supposed to do it Sunday but I’m in Hospital 😢.

you have Reading Half and Basingstoke do one nearer the end of the year which is ‘undulating’

MyNameIsErinQuin · 31/03/2023 07:16

Boston Lincolnshire is absolutely flat. Cambridge is beautiful (and flat) but very expensive.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/03/2023 07:41

Humber Bridge Half only has one hill. It's usually in mid a June, although it's changing management and entires are suspended for this year.

brooksghost · 31/03/2023 08:02

Wokingham (claims to be Berkshire's fastest) but that's just been held.
Reading but that's in 2 days!
Bath
Brighton

Sometimes a bit of up/down hill can offer respite for the constant pounding on the legs.

Mamadothehump · 31/03/2023 08:03

Cambridge
Milton Keynes

I’d say Cardiff was undulating, and the hill at mile 12 while short, wrecks a lot of people!

stilldumdedumming · 31/03/2023 10:02

@Fulmar they must have because honestly sometimes we were on a slight decline and I kept waiting for the big arse hill to come (what goes down must come up) but it just never came. The marathon route which is run at the same time definitely had inclines tho.
