BodyBalance newbie, experiences?

Hi everyone

I've just booked into my first ever Body Balance class, for tonight at 6. I'm really excited. I joined a gym recently and have been so enjoying finally taking care of my body.

Any BodyBalance fans here? Any success stories or general experiences? What results do you find you get from it?

I'm just going to show up with a water bottle and a towel and throw myself in, but I'd love to hear anyone else's experiences or advice.

I do it at home using Les Mills on demand. I like it, but am seriously wobbly!

I used to love it! The mix of tai chi, yoga, pilates and stretch was really nice. It was challenging but not difficult. I usually start looking at the clock from about 15 mins into a normal class, so the variety really suited me. The music is great too, usually relatively new. I used to download it to run to after a new track came out.

I moved to somewhere that doesn't offer Body Balance and I still miss it! Going to Body Combat and Body Pump now.

I do BodyBalance regularly and I like it. I'd recommend getting a yoga mat if you don't have one already, as it makes the class so much easier than having to borrow one. Make sure to show yourself to the instructor so that they know you're new, as they can talk through the class with you and highlight options too. From doing BB myself, I feel much relaxed afterwards and over time, more flexible and less tight in my body. I hope you have a fab time

Thanks everyone!

I've had my first session and enjoyed it. I had to use one of the gym's mats and I'm definitely going to invest in one of my own - I'm not squeamish in general but the parts of the session that involved having my head close to the mat and deep breathing icked me out a bit 😂

I'm very glad I'd done yoga in the past, as the instruction was quite fast paced and it helped a lot to know what downward dog, tabletop and the warrior poses are.

I'm going to keep attending the class, hoping for more flexibility and balance over time!
