Watching You Tube exercise videos on screen; which one for home gym? And what else do I need?

Sorry not techy. Setting up home gym. What sort of TV screen do I need for the wall so I can watch You Tube exercise videos? Is it a complicated thing to do?

I never understand how people follow exercises on their phone whole actually doing the exercises! (Or am I missing something?)

Setting up gym in part of a garage. So far have an exercise bike and mats. And some small women's weights and resistance bands. What else do I need please?

I'd get at least one heavy weight for lower body work. Some sort of bar to attach bands to for pull exercises. Could you just prop an iPad up somewhere or do you specifically want a tv on the wall?

Oh and a bench if you have the room

A Smart TV to connect directly to the internet. If your garage has thick walls run a dedicated Ethernet cable.

If you start doing the amazing Caroline Girvans videos you will need heavier weights. I would suggest a pair each of 5kg, 8kg, and 10kg, plus a 15kg, 20kg and 25kg for lower body exercises. I picked up a weighted bag in Lidl and that is more comfortable for hip thrusts.

Also a bench for Bulgarian lunges, tricep dips, hip thrusts, and elevated push ups.

Im very jealous! It’s on my list of things I want to do but can’t afford.

If you have the room a squat rack. Agree about heavier weights for lower body, so a barbell and weights would be great. And a box for doing hip thrusts.

I'd get some kettlebells, they're very versatile for a full body workout.

I use a laptop. Used to use YouTube on smart TV but it's a faff to navigate. Decent laptop screen is ideal unless your room is huge.

I just have dumbbells, a mat, resistance band.

Thank you so much for all of these replies. I appreciate the tips.

I should have said that I am a novice at gym work (being trained by a pt elsewhere to get me fit for horse riding) and you all
sound very expert.

Thanks for cable advice Worldgonecrazy

I hadn’t thought of a lap top Quarantino - that’s a good idea for now while I sort stuff out gradually - where do you actually put it so you can see it if you don’t mind me asking please?
