I just joined les mills, in bids to lose two stones and to tone up. What are your recommendations of which workout to do, and whether les mills worked for you. How much workout or how long did it take you to see any progress?

I like combat and attack. I also do balance and pump. You'd need equipment for body pump though. Doesnt need to be official less mills equipment

Oh thank you. Is there any particular workout that helps tone the stomach?

@Weightlossj you need the core work outs. They have made a huge difference to my core strength and back pain. The first one I did I could only manage half and questioned whether some of it was physically possible. Now do them all the way through.

I love my Les Mills membership, particularly for those days where you don't have the mental bandwidth to think about what exercise to do and just need someone to direct you.

I started with Pump but I actually don't think it's great - I'd prefer to do heavier, shorter sets with weights and don't find Pump is all that effective, at least for me.

Grit is great for a 30 min HIIT session and is quite challenging.

Combat is super fun and definitely my favourite. It's not crazy high intensity but I can get up to 400 calories on some sessions. Good music and no equipment needed.

Attack is good if you feel like some cheesy aerobics.

There is LesMills Core for core training, as the name says. Grit is good. I love Combat and is is as high intensity as you make it, I am quite small and burned 650 kcal in the last class - at the gym to be fair, it's harder to push yourself at home. BodyStep is also good if you get yourself a bench. And yes Bodypump, but don't be shy with weights - yes it's supposed to be low weight high rep, but they mean low weigh compared to what you would use for your 10 reps at the gym, you can still load the bar quite decently.

If your starting do tone. Add in pump then core. Then do what you want. Less Mills is awesome

BodyStep is always my go to. Takes a bit of getting used to though!
