Cross trainer and bad knees

I have very bad knees. I can't kneel on them at all. Would a cross-trainer be a good at home option?

Any other suggestions?

well you don't kneel on it so i guess that's a start! I would try one out before you buy one. They're lower impact on your joints than walking or running would be but you'd need to be able to step up on and off it. With gym equipment you tend to get what you pay for too so some of the cheaper ones might be a bit "clunky" on the movement than the expensive gym brands.

No one can really answer without knowing what is wrong with your knees!
Yes, a cross trainer is lower impact than some other exercises or machines.
I would get a few day passes or use Hussle website to get to a gym and try different things out, before investing in kit for home. Or get physio advice.

No, I have one and I didn’t have bad knees before I started using it but I do now!

A cross trainer is one of the things my physio recommended for my arthritic knees, because it’s very low impact. I guess it all depends why your knees are dodgy though
