Today I completed couch to 5k ! So
Chuffed

I wonder if anyone can recommend any similar apps that I can now use to continue running? I love the discipline of the 3 runs a week and being able to see them complete in the app and I also enjoy the time being set for me. I also loved that it's always 46 mins ish I want to now maintain the 5k runs

Any recommendations?

Well done for completing C25K! 🏆
I moved to the Adidas running app after finishing C25K and like the fact that I can set myself a weekly running target (mine’s 15km so that I have to run 3 times a week to complete it) and see the splits for each km. I have it set up so that the voice tells me when I’ve completed each kilometre - you can have it do the announcements by distance or time (or both). It also shows me a little map of the route I’ve taken, colour-coded to reflect my speed.

To be honest, I think most running apps do all of these things! I only went with the Adidas one because my friend used it and I liked the look of the way it presented the data.

Well done! This is amazing!

Runkeeper and Strava both do plans to take you to 10k if that's the sort of thing you're after x

I use Nike Run Club, which is free. What I really love about NRC are the guided runs with Coach Bennett. He is a very talented coach and his coaching will not only make you a smarter, better runner, but also so much of what he talks about can help you outside of running.

@LIC1985 you say that you like 46 minute runs. Try mixing it up more and doing some shorter and longer runs. On NRC there’s a 5 minute run for example. If you’re curious, download the NRC app, look for the guided runs (in run) and I recommend EASY RUN which is a 25 min run.

I use an app called iSmoothRun.
It costs a small one off fee.
I like it that you can set up workouts however you like: run/walk, warm up + steady + cool down. Intervals etc
You get feedback over headphones so you can set it up to give updates every 1k or tell you when to run or walk or speed up/slow down if aiming for a specific pace.
You can upload the activities to Strava and other similar sites.

Fab thank you all this is so useful. I love the idea of setting a weekly KM target !

I def want to work towards 10k but enjoy the time commitment from the 5k and maintaining as I struggle to find the time to run whereas I know I can commit to the time .

Will have a look at all of these recommendations . Thank you

I like the Hal Higdon app. There's a free version which will schedule your runs and a paid for version which doesn't do a huge amount more. You put in your goal and a date and it works out a schedule for you.
