Swimming gives me thrush!

I've been swimming two or three times a week in my local pool but keep getting thrush symptoms and I'm sure it's (?) the chlorine. When I took a break from swimming it went away, then started again when I went back to it.

What can I do? I've taken swimming up in place of another exercise I loved but had to stop because of injury, so really don't want to have to give this up too.

I already take probiotics, wear cotton pants, all the usual things. But I wanted to see if anyone else had this and what, if anything, I can do about it.

Thanks

Have you tried giving yourself a good blast of cold shower water at the offended area straight after swimming? Probably not possible at the pool but as soon as you get home?
I have to do it after swimming or a bubble bath.

Thanks @Solosunrise I appreciate your input.

I do have a quick shower at the pool, then go home and have another shower and wash my hair etc. But sometimes I will sit at my laptop and do a bit of work to catch up before my second shower. Am thinking this might not be a good idea. And will also focus on really rinsing the offending area (love it) at the pool - good one, thank you.

Really hope it helps! I was thinking offending area to begin with but phone decided upon offended. I left it there because it felt more accurate- my poor old fanjo is very offended by any kind of chemicals 😆
It doesn't mind dove soap, but nothing else is tolerated!

If your pool has individual shower cubicles I would take a mild non irritating soap or similar and wash well at the pool.

Not exactly the same but I have rosacea that really flares up after swimming and I have to wash and apply cream straight away.

Thanks so much both. The woman in Boots also recommended Vagisil wash, so I shall take some of that into the pool tomorrow and use it straight after swimming.

Thank you!

I hope the vagisil helps. It did cross my mind that maybe some kind of barrier cream might help.
