HELP - what to wear on an 'activity' holiday

So, we're going on a 'activity/beach' holiday in a few weeks and I'm hoping to join in a few yoga/Pilates type classes plus maybe do some beginner tennis lessons. But - I have NO idea what I should wear. I exercise at home in an old pair of shorts and top, I haven't exercised in public for years! I'm quite a pear shape with lumpy bum and the thought of wearing a pair of leggings/tight shorts brings me out in a cold sweat. But I'm also conscious that the holiday is probably going to be full of svelte/exercisie (is that a word?) types and I don't want to look totally out of place. Any ideas? I'm a size 14 bottom and 12 top....... Thank you

There will lots of tight lycra, "active wear" and even lycra tops (sleeveless if hot).
Tennis has it's own special clothes.
I'd be in bloke shorts and a cotton tank top for any of that.

You’re a size 12-14, that’s hardly huge! Get the Lycra out! Skorts are great if you feel self conscious in short shorts and would be really good for tennis. Flanci and Tikiboo do really funky ones. If you’re going somewhere warm then I’d go for technical fabric vest tops. They dry really quickly so if you don’t mind hand washing a couple would get you through the week.

Is it Mark Warner or Neilsons? You won’t stand out against “sporty types” in my experience!

Tennis will be a polo top or vest top, and chino-type shorts or leggings. The same clothes will be fine for Pilates.

Your figure sounds fine to me - don’t worry.

Thanks Guys, it's Neilson and it will be hot. I've ordered a load of items and I'll see what looks ok.

ok, I didn't do tennis when i went to Neilsons but did kayaking, SUP, aquafit, "proper" swimming, a couple of gym classes, and went for a guided run and walk. I took a couple of swimsuits, cap and goggles, a couple of tech fabric gym/run t-shirts and cropped leggings. The gym was well air conditioned and they had an outdoor canopy to provide shade for outdoor classes. I have cropped top type sports bras that I wore instead of a bikini top with board shorts that were quick to dry. A rash vest top is useful if you're to go kayaking or SUP as wearing a buoyancy aid next to your skin can be a bit grim. Flipflops for by the pool. You need to be dry to go into lunch but sports / pool wear was perfectly acceptable. People tended to shower and "dress" for dinner but still very casual - tshirt / vest top and summery trousers / linen shorts type attire. Maybe a cool dress and I'd take a cardigan or lightweight fleece for later in the evening.
