Swimming - Chlorine Sensitivity- Solutions

Since the Pandemic I have noticed I have a reaction to chlorine. I suspect that they have increased the chlorine levels. I get massive sneezing fits in the evening. So, I tried nasal wash which seemed to work. Over the summer it seemed to have improved.

Recently my reaction is worse (I suspect the chlorine levels have been increased in response to Omicron). I still use nasal wash but I sneeze incessantly in the evening and I get headache. I sleep heavily and next day I am groggy. I have been using antihistamines too. I wonder if I am dehydrated due to sneezing.

I need to swim for mobility issues but this is getting me down. Anyone have any tips I could try?

Thanks

Some pools use ozone to treat the water instead, then the chlorine levels are then more similar to a household bath. Maybe such a pool is near you.

You could try cold water swimming... not for me either!

@lljkk thanks.. I think I should ask the pool if the levels have increased. It could be my sensitivity that has increased.

Nowhere near me that does cold water swimming... not too disappointed to be fair Grin
