Pelvic floor nightmare & running

Sorry if tmi My pelvic floor is a disaster and I wear tena most days especially when doing exercise. I also have Lichen sclerosus which gets irritated by my Tena.

Anyone got any experience in using the pants such as modibody for bladder problems when running?

I like my Cheeky Mamma pants on long runs as there's no bulk.

Unfortunately you shouldn't be running with your pelvic floor in this state, it will make it worse. Have you seen your GP? Or do you have any private insurance? You need an examination and then a women's health specialist physio and/or a gynecologist assessment. Pilates in the meantime, or cycling or swimming for cardio. Don't let the GP tell you that most women have issues after childbirth, we give far too little post partum support in this country - and even among women with issues, most are not wearing Tena daily.

Speaking as someone who left it too long, and is now lined up for surgery as it's too far gone for physio - it's really worth getting this sorted asap, you don't have to live like this.

You can self refer for women’s health physio.

Have you done any pelvic floor rehab? If you haven't, and you are doing high impact exercise like this, you are risking everything getting worse, developing prolapse etc.

If you can access Women's Health physio through the NHS, that would be great. MUTU is also a good program (pay once, access forever).

It might be a good idea to switch the running for another form of cardio for a while -cycling, swimming, rowing etc.
