Hi going to start exercising again and want to use YouTube for ease and childcare.

I’m very overweight and unfit looking to build some fitness and eventually to support weight loss. Any recommendations for very very beginner level? I have some dumb bells and resistance bands. Thanks!

Try searching 'team body project beginner'. I started working out a year ago after doing nothing for 20 years. I started out on their beginner workouts and am now doing more challenging ones. I've lost 3 and a half stone and gone down 3 dress sizes - I also cut down on what I ate too. Good luck.

Walk at Home Leslie Sansone

Try searching 'total beginner' if the beginner workouts look too challenging.

Hasfit. I started off doing their videos, very friendly and something for all abilities

Highly recommend lucy Wyndham-Reed. She caters for whatever you are looking for and I've found it really accessible

I am also in this position, will have a look at these channels. I tried Fitness Blender but found it a bit boring...

I love this program, it's 9 weeks, 3 sessions a week and goes from easier to harder as fitness builds.

Seconding team body project. Really doable for anyone (I'm nearly 50 and very overweight). Try one with the fella leading it (Daniel) - he's very motivational. It's all about just getting going.

For beginner YouTube video is surely gives the simple tips and easily achieve our goal. I also following some of the YouTube video tips in the starting level. This will helps to achieve my goal and target. In starting stage I m not taking any long step or heavy workouts. Always following simple workouts, this method is useful for me.

I am in the same position and I tried loads of so-called beginner workouts and felt an absolute failure at not getting through them.

I am now doing the following:

Leslie Sansone Walk @ Home - I can only do the Beginner 1 Mile right now but hope to build up. I do that one twice a day as I can't get through a 2 mile one in one go (or even some of the brisker 1 mile ones)

Weight Training for Women over 50 by Fit Mother Project - you only need dumbells - can do pushups (I can only do them on the kitchen counter) and tricep kickbacks instead of the two exercises he does on the bench

Incidentally, I am nowhere near 50 but that's the only strength workout I can do. I don't do the core exercises as I have high blood pressure but I do some Pilates core work following the 5-10 min beginner routines from Balanced Life Pilates.

I've followed the Body Project a pp recommended previously and they were good but I can no longer find the really basic beginner one for free anymore.

Hope some of that helps you OP - I know exactly how you feel but two weeks in, I can say that I can feel myself getting stronger. Just remember that doing something is better than doing nothing and progress is not a straight line.
