Couch to 5k with a running buggy - advice, please

I'm not a runner but since having my second baby I walk a lot. I'd like to do couch to 5k next but realistically I'm going to need to do it with her in tow. I'm aware of the recommendations to wait until 6 months to jog - she's nearly 4 months old now - but I'd like to get a running buggy soon to use for walks in the meantime. I'm not a proper runner so I don't think I need to spend loads on a fancy Thule buggy but what sort of budget running buggy will be good enough for me to do couch to 5k? I've found a Hauck Runner 3 Wheel Pushchair for £135 but I wonder if the price means it's not very good quality. Does anyone have it? I'm happy to spend a bit more but I don't think I need a premium solution as realistically it's going to be used for a slow paced 30 minute jog around the local park.

This thread is a little old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for running buggy, we’ve recently updated our best running buggies article with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

The Hauck Runner doesn't have good suspension, I tried my friend's and it bumped everywhere.

For a serious runner the Thules are amazing, my sister has one, but they are enormous. For light running I was totally in love with my out n about nipper 360, just sold it regretfully after 3 years and still in amazing condition! It has great suspension, and you can lock the front wheel for better stability when running. Wish I'd bought it with my first!

All that said, I personally wouldn't do anything beyond a slow jog on a smooth path with a 6 month old, they're so little and still quite floppy - to me the jogging buggies really come into their own as kids get towards 1 and even into toddlerhood and beyond, my youngest liked to sit in the buggy and be a very tough personal trainer / read a book while I ran, long after he'd stopped using it for general outings.

Meant to say - on a budget I'd look into a second hand 360 too, because they're so robust the second hand ones are generally in good shape.

The Out n About Nipper Sport is great to run with, really light and supportive for the little one. It flies on tarmac and holds its own off road. They're not cheap but you might be able to pick up a second hand one, particularly if someone has had it as a 2nd pram.

You can actually rent a Out n About Nipper Sport from Kids Bike Trailer Hire as a Try before you Buy. They are a big investment, so good to try out first.
