@Shannith which one of Adrienne's do you do and how has it transformed you?
I keep trying different yoga instructors but can't find one that I like
I started gently with her yoga for equestrians (because I ride)
Deep stretch was great for getting me mobile
Nowadays I do that a couple of times a week and every other day balancing practice (in the yoga for weight loss series) - this is because of riding- but it’s sorted out my tight hamstrings and slimmed and defined my legs
I also do her hips one (also in the yoga for weight loss series) again, because I ride but WOW. I would not have said I have tight hips but I most certainly did. Having truly mobile hips makes everything easier - bit of a game changer.
I also do all three of her core ones, deep core, core strength ritual and just plain core (new one)
Sometimes I do all three, most days I do one. I have a flat stomach and if you squint actual muscles now. When I first started doing them 6 months ago I could not do 2 mins of one. And I could barely move for a week after. So I’ve built up gently and slowly. I’m allergic to actual effort/pain so it takes me a while to get anywhere.
Bit off the wall… but 2 that have made a massive difference are yoga for text neck - I didn’t realise how much tension I was carrying (and I’m pretty limber) until I did this a good few times. Instant results. I do it once or twice a week.
Yoga for the feet - again who knew? I do this at least once a week and it makes everything else easier.
Her 10 min yoga for neck and shoulders - I do this at least every other day and have done for a while. I now have excellent posture. And I really didn’t because of breaking my collar bone repeatedly (remind me why I ride again)
I do at least one if not 2 of these a day and have done for a year.
At 46 I’m more flexible than I ever been and I can now do a bit of dressage rather than clinging on dear life.
As I say my posture makes a massive difference to the way I look and feel. I do it because it makes me feel great. I’m slim but I now have surprising muscle definition without ever breaking sweat.
