Peloton and numb leg

So I got a peloton 2 weeks ago and I love it! However the last few days I have had a persistently numb leg- a bit like pins and needles, I can wiggle my toes but the whole leg just feels a bit weird. I can’t decide if the peloton is the culprit or it is just that I am doing too much sitting for work. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions of what I could do to try and alleviate the numbness?

Sounds like a pinched nerve

There was something on the Peloton subreddit the other day about a condition someone got and said it was common in new riders.

Not saying it's this, as its seemingly rare but worth reading the comments too.

Thank you, I will take a look.

It could be something like sciatica but rhabdomyolysis is very serious and needs medical attention, is your leg warm and it's normal size.

Having looked up the rhabdo thing I’m confident it isn’t that. I always thought sciatica would be really painful but when I looked it up it seems to fit the bill perfectly- my leg is a weird combination of numb but tingly! It isn’t painful as such but a really odd sensation. From what I have read it seems likely it will rectify itself but there were some suggested stretches so I will give those a go.
