running/jogging tips

This might sound like a silly question - comment!

I currently walk quite fast, twice, around my local park once a day but it's approx a mile.

I recently started a low impact but fairly high intensity 30 minute workout.

I've tried Couch to 5K etc and not got on with it, got mild asthma but don't take an inhaler as don't need it.

I walk maybe twice a month or more approx 19km in one go, with one or no stops and find that quite easy - it's at a regular pace, not too fast, not too slow. Up hill too.

I was finding on my walk yesterday a sudden urge to run or jog, I didn't as I didn't really have exercise gear on, just my trainers, also the path I was on was a bit slippy (not main pavement), should I just run when I get that urge?

You could just run for short time and then stop when it stops feeling comfortable. It sounds like you are pretty fit already.

Go for it, just make sure you're wearing a sports bra when you go out for a walk! Why did you not get on with c25k? If you want to start running then that's really the best way to start and build up.

I may try to restart C25K.
