Anyone?

Never seen those before! Fastest speed is 10km an hour but I often sprint finish the last km or 2 of my runs at a faster speed so it would be no good for me. I'd also feel unsafe without the front and arms. Probably ok if you're only walking/jogging though.

I looked at this when buying a treadmill. The belt is really narrow, and so you could be at easy risk of falling off. Also, if you intend to run rather than walk, 10kmph is pretty slow - and that’s the max speed.

We bought an Everlasting T6 from a local gym tech company advertising on GumTree. £450 delivered and installed, and feels as robots as ones at the gym.

Thanks. We don't really have the room to have one up all the time, ideally after one that can go under the bed or something when not being used. I do want one I can run on though so that puts this one out of the running

What sort of speed would be ok for a run?

A decent tradmill will not cost under £300. Probably not under £500.

do you not have a pavement to run on?

YourWurstNightmare · 25/12/2020 22:03

I tried a couple of the cheap treadmills and they aren't worth the savings. Narrow belt, cheap motor that gives out or stutters causing risk of fall, low speed. Spend a few more and get a name brand: www.argos.co.uk/product/1483671

Really depends on your ability but 10k an hour isn't really pushing it for me. My treadmill goes up to 20km but fastest I can do is 12/12.5.

Also agree with this. The cheaper ones will wobble or bounce. I paid £700 for mine and it's sturdy.
GinAndTonicOnIt · 25/12/2020 22:05

@Dawnlassie yes, but I have young children who I legally can't leave home alone to go for a run. Or if the weather is really bad in the few child free hours I do get per week I'd like an alternative.

@YourWurstNightmare thanks for the link, that one does look good! Have you tried it yourself?

I have this one: www.argos.co.uk/product/7610390 It works fine but I wouldn't recommend it as it feels a bit fragile.

A friend has the Reebok and really recommends it.

GinAndTonicOnIt · 25/12/2020 22:15

@YourWurstNightmare thanks! The one you have looks perfect on paper, thanks for letting me know your review though as I know to avoid x
