Core excercise

What core excercise do you recommend to fix diastasis recti and get a flat stomach after having kids? I started Mutu but don't see any changes yet.

My diastasis healed up when I took up skating. I didn't do it for that reason, skating is just fun, but it involves an engaged core that you don't really feel (at least unless you move into more complicated moves). After about 6 months the improvement to my stomach area was really visible, with the damage on my lower stomach dramatically pulled up and in, and with visible upper abs on my upper stomach. Once that repair had happened, I became able to do much more strenuous core exercises, like hollow body and weighted deadbugs, etc. And build up a strong flexible back in a way that relies on having a strong core to avoid injury.

Morning @Asdfghjklzxccnnm

I would encourage you to find a local clinical pilates instructor. If you check the APPI website you will be able to find a local pre / post natal instructor who can help you tackle your RD.

Good luck!

That's great! I love skating. Smile I started to go skating once a week last winter then the ice rink closed due to Covid. But I will go back as so as it reopens. What kind of skating do you do? I would like to learn figure skating and also try ice hockey. Grin

Yay, another skater! We have no permanent ice-rink near me. Just a Christmas rink and obviously not this year. I roller skate at the rink, I do a little artistic skating which is figure skating on wheels. And I inline skate long distance outside. I've played some inline hockey and do some ramps too. I've missed a lot of skating this year so am hoping to have a skating holiday next year by going on holiday somewhere near an ice-rink and arranging private lessons each day.

I love skating, keep meaning to take the kids to a local car park to skate now its mainly empty due to lockdown.

How often should I skate to see a difference in my abs?

Thank you for the tips! :) I need to find a place to roller skate until the ice rink opens again.
