Mens/womens running trainers

Is there a difference between mens and womens trainers? I often buy mens day to day trainers as I like the colour/style but for running is there a reason I should get womens?

Men's are made on a broader last.

So worth avoiding unless you have wide feet, but a good choice if you do want a bigger toe box.

I have very long feet (but not wide) so have no choice but to buy men's trainers. Some are narrower than others, but just buy whatever fits well and is comfortable Smile

Thank you, I'll just see whats most comfy then.

I spoke to Nike on this, there’s about a half mm difference between the sizes so fine to buy mens. I’ve got some in same colour way / style in both men’s and women’s and there’s no discernible difference.

I typically wear shoes out sideways, the box pops. And that's when I wear men's sizes.

Slightly off topic but I’ve got a £20 Adidas voucher, can anyone recommend any Adidas running shoes?

As well as being wider in the box, women's shoes are narrower in the heel.

@TazMac It depends on what kind of running you want to do and how you pronate. You're best off trying on several pairs (even if you have to order online and then send them back)
