Hello!!

I'm trying and failing to loose weight and need some help! I'm currently trying to fast four times per week through the night and into the mid morning which has seen me lose a tiny 3lbs Hmm

Someone at work asked me if I was pregnant tonight so think it's time I get a grip...

Has anyone got any recommendations for quick workouts I can do at home in front of the telly while my youngest has her nap. I love running but going in the evening I just feel too knackered looking after two kids...

I know people used to rave about davina's but I was hoping for something maybe on YouTube or is there a sky channel? Preferably for free or a small fee if possible

Appreciate any help I can get for my barrel body Sad

When my first was a baby I used to do a Davina DVD, and then used the Wii when my second was a baby. Things have moved on a lot since then though, and now I would find a DVD too dull (doing the same things over and over). I like Fitness Blender, as I can filter the workouts to exactly what I want (length, intensity level, arms/legs/total body, equipment etc etc). I particularly like their workouts for people who get bored easily 😂.

I've currently got free access to the Peloton app which I'm loving - have done a couple of cycling and running workouts, and a strength one.

The only thing with working out at home is it's important to have correct form, otherwise you may be largely wasting your effort or get injured, I've been seeing a PT for years, so am fairly confident in my form (and he still needs to correct me every now and then, especially when planking). Fitness Blender are quite good at commenting on how you should look, where you should be feeling it, and what you shouldn't be doing.

If you'd consider paying, I'm a member of Move GB which has a really flexible subscription programme and gives me access to thousands of live classes (particularly at the moment when so many providers are streaming classes on Zoom, means I have access to tonnes more providers than I could normally access). I tend to use this for yoga classes, and stick with my normal provider as I like her style, and she knows me well.

I've been doing a mix of Yoga/Pilates/Hiit videos on YouTube. I alternate each day and have one day off. I like the Yoga with Adriene channel as you can pick by length 15-20mins, 20-30 mins etc as well what you want to focus on. For Hiit I've been doing Body Project videos. I started with a low impact/low intensity 20 minute one (and vomited half way through after gulping down loads of water Blush ) and this week have been doing a low impact/high intensity (without stopping!). For Pilates I found a beginner's workout by POP but didn't like her other vids so have been doing ones by Life Full of Zest.

I've been calorie counting and have so far lost half a stone in 4 weeks, so I'm chuffed! Good luck!
