Vibration plates - are they any good?

I’ve the opportunity to buy a pro one from an ex gym at a good price.

Just wondered if they’re worth it? Thought may work for toning. I cycle a few times a week, 20km x 4 days but have work to do to get into shape!

Any experiences?

I used to go to classes and enjoyed them. I always felt like I was going to wet myself though!!

@hopeishere think an unexpected benefit may be pelvic floor toning? Grin

It's not what I'd get first for workout equipment at home, I'd prioritise a suspension trainer, resistance bands or dumbbells. It seems like a bit of a novelty that you'd use for a time but get bored of.

I'm no help, the only time I ever used one I jumped off in shock because it felt like my brain was going to rattle out of my head!

I did use one once for a bit of a massage after a heavy leg workout. Lay on the ground, put my legs right across one of the plates and let it vibrate for about 10 mins. Enjoyed it at the time but doubt I got much, if any, benefit from it. Probably got more from the lying down part. Other than that one time I used it, can honestly say I've never seen anyone use one in the gym in all the years I've been going so not sure if they do much.

No, gimmicky rubbish.
